One of the goals of the Language Institute at Georgia Tech is to help support the international community at Georgia Tech. Georgia Tech students, whether they are native or non-native speakers of English, are expected to be able to listen to lectures, read books and articles, give formal and informal presentations, work collaboratively in teams, write papers, and produce multi-media presentations. Courses at the Language Institute are designed to help international students improve their communication skills so that they can succeed in their academic classes.
